AS you all may have seen, or done, tutorials are a major part of the internet and using this, many have gone on to create many things, from software to webdesign to photoshoped images and even music. So where do me and you fit it in all of this? We’re writers, we’re webmasters, where do you think we fit in? We fit in the place where everyone will come to, traffic will rise and you will reap the rewards, many many rewards.
There are too many types of things that you can write tutorials for, as you read in the paragraph above. So how should I go about doing this? There are many ways but you should focus on all the stuff that you can do. The better you are at something the better you are able to write tutorials for it. Now you should do something for a couple days and then deciede to write a tutorial on it. You should become versed in it.
Layman’s Terms. This is also something you need to get yourself associated with. If someone’s looking for a tutorial then chances are that they have no idea of the words and terms associated with them, your best bet would be to break it down and simplify it to a great extent for those new to the topic.
Using pictures in tutorials is a great way to show and explain your point. Sometimes readers tend to stay away from those tutorials without pictures as it would be harder to picture in their minds. This is also a great way to get hits from image search engines, ie Google Images.
Using interactive media, following on the point above using interactive media, weather it be Flash, or Video, or anything else, interactivity is not good, it is GREAT!
When making tutorials, another thing you can use to uplift your tutorial is to mention alternatives. Not everyone on the planet has access to the same stuff, equipment etc. so try to put in some alternatives so that it covers the globe
I am not going to lie, that is not an easy task, but for those of you all of have been doing something for many years now, its time to share. And remeber a tutorial can be on anything.
